Production Expert - Podcast on studio monitors with EVE Audio

The experts from Production Expert invited us to a podcast. Roland Stenz, our CEO and head of R&D and Sebastian Breiter, German Tonmeister, look at studio monitors from the manufacturing point of view and from the user's standpoint.

- What abilities and knowledge does it take to design and develop studio monitors?
- How do room resonances and acoustical treatment affect the studio monitor's performance?
- What is our own anechoic chamber for and how does it help to develop our range of studio monitors?

And, we answer the question why we at EVE Audio have developed such a wide range of different air motion transformers and what the development of studio monitors has in common with building instruments.

SC2070 user report by Sebastian Breiter, German Tonmeister

EVE Audio SC2070 - User report by Sebastian Breiter

Sebastian Breiter is a professional German Tonmeister, who had the pleasure to test our SC2070 over some time and in various projects. One was a synthesizer project, another one an orchestral mixing and third was an instrumental Hip Hop Mix.

"I CAN MOVE THE HEAD OUT OF THE PERFECT SWEET SPOT AND STILL GET THE TONAL AND SPECTRAL BALANCE OF THE MIX."

In this video Sebastian shares his experiences on the SC2070 from a user's standpoint.

SC2070 video review by Adrian Tucker

EVE Audio SC2070 - Product review by Adrian Tucker

For all our Spanish speaking subscribers is here the first SC2070 video review in Spanish language: Adrian Tucker from the YouTube channel of the same name reviewed our new monitor SC2070 in great detail.

In his studio Adrian relies on a Dolby Atmos system with EVE Audio studio monitors. Now, he comments about the SC2070 as follows:

"THESE SPEAKERS PROVIDE CLEANER SOUND WITH LESS DISTORTION AND LESS LISTENING FATIGUE."

"Thanks to the new RS7 tweeter the speaker is much more unburdened when it comes to midrange and high frequencies."

"These speakers provide cleaner sound with less distortion and less listening fatigue."

"I would venture to say that no human ear would be able to detect whether there is a DSP involved or not."

Proaudio.de – all about an Air Motion Transformer
Explanations from EVE Audio's managing director and head of R&D Roland Stenz

Proaudio.de - EVE Audio's Air Motion Transformers

EVE Audio is the only manufacturer of studio monitors that has not only further developed the Air Motion Transformer but also uses different Air Motion Transformers in its various monitors, depending on their size.

Why this is the case, what are advantages and how does an Air Motion Transformer works at all is explained in this video by our managing director and head of R&D Roland Stenz.

Proaudio.de SC2070 product review

EVE Audio SC2070 Product Review in Proaudio.de

The first German speaking SC2070 review is out. The colleagues from proaudio.de checked out our new model and comment as follows:

"As far as the basic fine-tuning is concerned, the SC2070 meets exactly the high standards expected of a monitor from EVE Audio."

"WITH THE SC2070, EVE AUDIO HAS ADDED ANOTHER HIGH-END MODEL TO ITS PORTFOLIO THAT LEAVES VIRTUALLY NOTHING TO BE DESIRED IN PRACTICE."

"The modified monitor, with the currently largest AMT of the series including an adjusted crossover frequency, also provides a sonic surprise that goes beyond this. Already 'flat', the monitor presents itself with a clearly optimised midrange frequency area in relation to the cabinet dimensions, including a noticeably higher depth of detail. All in all, the SC2070s present a balanced and highly analytical overall picture across the entire frequency spectrum with a tidy and well staggered sound stage."

"With its latest monitor system, EVE Audio offers an incredibly well-tuned and analytical tool at a unit price of about 1,100 Euro, with which even hours of work are possible without major signs of fatigue."
