An Air Motion Transformer (AMT) is a core technology behind EVE Audio’s exceptional sound quality. Unlike traditional dome tweeters, AMTs use a folded diaphragm that moves air faster and more efficiently, delivering high-resolution sound with minimal distortion. This design allows for incredibly detailed and accurate sound reproduction, making AMTs the perfect choice for studio monitors where precision is critical.
At EVE Audio, we’ve refined this technology to suit the unique needs of different studio environments. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ve developed seven distinct AMTs, each tailored to maximize the performance of specific monitor models. This ensures that every EVE Audio monitor offers the same high standard of clarity, efficiency, and sound fidelity.
µA.M.T. – Compact Precision for SC203
The µA.M.T. is designed for the SC203, our smallest monitor. Despite having a diaphragm size of only 400mm²—less than half the size of our larger RS1 tweeter—it maintains an extended frequency response and wide dispersion. This makes the µA.M.T. ideal for compact nearfield setups, where space is limited, but sound accuracy remains essential.
RS1 – Power and Detail for SC204 & SC205
The RS1 AMT is used in both the SC204 and SC205 models. It combines high power output (50W) with exceptional high-frequency detail, delivering a transparent and accurate representation of your audio. This makes the RS1 an excellent choice for smaller studio environments where sound accuracy and clarity are paramount.
RS2 – Enhanced Magnetic Field for SC207, SC208 & SC307
The RS2 AMT, introduced with the SC207, features an enhanced magnet system for greater efficiency and higher output levels. With a larger internal magnet and stronger magnetic field, the RS2 offers extended high-frequency response without sacrificing the natural, uncolored sound that EVE Audio is known for. It’s perfect for mid-sized monitors like the SC207 and SC208, providing a detailed and precise listening experience.
RS3 – Exclusive Efficiency for SC305
Exclusively used in the SC305, the RS3 AMT is optimized for efficiency and precision. With a smaller front plate but a larger internal magnet, the RS3 delivers refined high-frequency reproduction with improved efficiency. This makes it perfect for the SC305, offering a compact yet powerful solution for nearfield monitoring.
RS3.1 – Ultra-High Frequencies for SC3070 & SC4070
The RS3.1 AMT, found in the SC3070 and SC4070, is capable of reproducing ultra-high frequencies up to 40 kHz, making it an excellent choice for professional mixing and mastering. This tweeter is housed in a rotatable silver module, offering flexibility for both horizontal and vertical speaker setups. With optimized internal damping and materials, the RS3.1 offers top-tier sound precision for demanding applications.
RS6 – High SPL & Low Distortion for SC3010 & SC3012
The RS6 AMT, designed for high sound pressure levels, is used in the SC3010 and SC3012. It is 2.5 times larger than the RS1, RS2, and RS3 models, with a large diaphragm that allows for a crossover frequency of 1800 Hz. This design ensures ultra-precise, distortion-free sound reproduction, making it ideal for large studio setups and high-output monitoring.
RS7 – Maximum Detail for SC2070
The RS7 AMT is specially developed for the SC2070, our largest 2-way monitor. With 1.5 times the diaphragm area of the RS1–RS3 models, it achieves a remarkably low crossover frequency of 1800 Hz, enabling midrange clarity typically seen in 3-way systems. The RS7 delivers incredible detail and precision, providing a highly transparent sound for critical monitoring.
