EVE Audio monitors feature high-resolution DSP electronics for precise room adaptation. Users can control filters, volume, and adjustments directly from the monitor using the rotary SMART-knob. Our studio monitors use Air Motion Transformers to reproduce high frequencies with accuracy and low distortion. The SC3012
For large recording and mastering studios, film and television facilities, cinema applications and wall installations, there is nothing better than our SC3010 and SC3012 main monitors.
The SC3012 system features a very powerful amplifier array with one amplifier per driver. All drivers, especially our proprietary AMT RS6 tweeter, have been designed for high sound pressure levels, extremely low distortion and optimized directivity. Together with the ultra-stiff wood front panel and a special internal construction to reduce resonance, they provide even directivity, well-defined mids, flawless high frequencies and a powerful and tight low frequency response.
The SC3012 systems were also developed for wall installations. For optimum sound, the filter control can be set to “inwall”. A set of high-density foam is included to seal the rear-facing bass ports.
The silver panel, which houses the midrange driver and our AMT RS6 tweeter, can be rotated 90 degrees so that you can position the monitors either horizontally or vertically.

Tech Talk
The SC3012 is a high-resolution monitor that stands at the intersection of performance and precision. This monitor is a perfect fit for any serious recording or mastering studio.
A sophisticated, double-coated 12-inch metal cone woofer with low resonance covers a frequency range down to low 25 Hz (-3 dB). Its long excursion driver effortlessly reproduces the lowest frequencies with an exceptionally low harmonic distortion level.
The SC3012 also features a specially developed 5-inch midrange unit. The glass fiber coated Rohacel™ sandwich cone is responsible for a clear and detailed reproduction of midrange frequencies. Both the 12-inch SilverCone woofer and the 5-inch SilverCone midrange driver are equipped with our copper cap magnet system, which has very low distortion.
The RS6 Air Motion Transformer (AMT) is exclusive to the SC3012 and the smaller SC3010 and completes the system. The RS6 has been developed to enable the SC3010/SC3012 to combine faithful high frequency reproduction with a clear and detailed high midrange. This new AMT is 2.5 times larger than the RS1, RS2 and RS3 Air Motion Transformers and is an important part of the system as it helps to couple the mid and high frequencies with great precision. The crossover frequency drops to 1800 Hz, ensuring a uniform directivity and a very well-defined mid to high frequency range.

Full performance without compromise
Each driver is powered by its own specified PWM amplifier. The tweeter and midrange are each supported by a 250 W amplifier, while the woofer is amplified by an 800 W PWM module via a bridge. All drivers are protected by a limiter detection circuit. With a maximum output level of 118 dB (SPL @ 1 m), you can easily judge your mixes accurately, regardless of their intended output level.
Simply put, the SC3012 is the perfect combination of robustness and accuracy, where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The SC3012 is the pinnacle of EVE Audio engineering, our flagship model, and for good reason.
As with all other EVE Audio monitors, there are both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for added convenience.
Our tweeters base on the ribbon tweeter technology. We reinvented our own version of the AMT which our speakers are well known for.
Understanding the Air Motion Transformer
The Air Motion Transformer (AMT) is a unique driver technology, distinct from other audio drivers. It utilizes a lightweight, hand-folded diaphragm that is thinly coated with aluminum. The current of the music signal flows through these conductive strands.
The diaphragm is placed in a powerful magnetic field leading to movement in the folds caused by the Lorentz force. Due to the opposing direction of the current the walls of each single fold work against each other. The air between the folds is squeezed in and out at a ratio of 1:4, compared to the 1:1 ratio of a regular dome tweeter.
This results in higher resolution and dynamics in the tweeter section, along with a very low distortion level, allowing superior sound quality with enhanced detail and clarity.
Press and hold the control three seconds in order to put the monitor in Standby mode. The volume will decrease gradually while the LED ring lights up once around the Volume control. Afterwards, the LED on the right end will remain dimly lit and the power consumption is reduced to 1 watt.
The volume can be adjusted by turning the knob. Depending on the LED mode selected, the volume will be displayed as a dim/ bright circle or as a dim/bright point.
To put the monitor in Mute Mode, turn the volume control counter clockwise until you reach the minimum level. When the LED on the left end lights up dimly the Mute Mode is activated.
Press the SMART-knob once to enter the Settings menu. Here you can set different filters as well as the LED ring’s behavior. The LED of the currently active function blinks. Click the different filters above to find out more about them!
The High-Shelf Filter helps you adjust frequencies above 3kHz in 0.5dB increments. You may need it in the following situations:
Distance from Speakers: High frequencies weaken as you move further from the speakers. If you sit far from the speakers, boost the high frequencies. If you're close, like in a desktop setup (about 1 meter or 3 feet away), you might need to reduce the high frequencies.
Room Acoustics: In a room with few reflective surfaces ("dead room"), boosting high frequencies can create a more balanced sound. Conversely, in a room with many reflective surfaces, reducing the high frequencies is advisable.
Adjust the High Filter accordingly and achieve the best sound quality based on your listening position.
The Mid Filter is a bell filter centered at 1kHz. It allows you to boost or cut the midrange by up to +/-3dB in 0.5dB increments. Here's what you should consider:
Frequency Balance: The midrange is crucial for balancing lower and higher mid frequencies. Use the Mid Filter to fine-tune the balance between the fundamental and harmonic frequencies in your music.
Room Acoustics: The acoustics of your room can affect how midrange frequencies are perceived. Sound energy from the monitors may reflect off surfaces like walls, floors, and ceilings, altering the sound. Adjust the Mid Filter to compensate for these reflections and achieve a balanced sound.
The Mid filter is available on SC2070, SC3070, SC4070, SC3010 and SC3012.
The desk filter allows you to boost or cut you low-mid frequencies in 0.5dB increments:
Narrow-Band EQ: Depending on the model the filter is centered between 160 and 200Hz. When turned down, it reduces the low-mid boost often caused by reflections from mixers and similar surfaces. Decrease the filter gain to lessen this effect.
EQ at 80Hz: When turned up, it enhances the lower frequencies, giving more punch to the sound.
The Low-Shelf Filter allows you to boost or attenuate frequencies below 300Hz in 0.5dB steps. Here's when to use it:
Attenuating Low Frequencies: If your room's acoustics cause a boost in low frequencies (due to room modes or speakers being close to walls), you can reduce them with the Low-Shelf Filter.
Boosting Low Frequencies: If the low frequencies are too weak, you can enhance them to achieve a balanced frequency response.
Adjust the Low-Shelf Filter accordingly to address any issues in the low frequency range caused by your room's acoustics.
The LED Mode determines how the LED ring displays the volume level. There are four available modes:
Bright Ring: All LEDs up to the selected volume level light up brightly. As the signal gets louder, he brightly lit ring extends.
Bright Point: Only the LED corresponding to the selected volume level lights up brightly. As the signal gets louder, the brightly lit point moves further up.
Dim Ring: All LEDs up to the selected volume level light up dimly. As the signal gets louder, the dimly lit ring extends. The LEDs light up brightly momentarily when you adjust the volume.
Dim Point: Only the LED corresponding to the selected volume level lights up dimly. As the signal gets louder, the dimly lit point moves further up.
In all modes, the LEDs indicate volume levels, adjusting in four steps. Intermediate steps are shown by the brightness level between two adjacent LEDs.
